Division 20 Meeting: Wednesday, November 7, at 7 am at First Watch, 72nd and Pacific. Rod and Bruce plan to attend.

2019 invocation sign-up: Dave Huelsmann sent out a sign-up sheet, which is easy to navigate. Please sign up for your preferred dates. Reminders will be e-mailed a few days before the reserved dates.

Flag Placement in Loveland: Dennis Cronin needs one more person each for the 7 am placement and the 5 pm removal of the flags on Veterans’ Day, Sunday, November 11.

Holiday Dates: We will gather on November 21, the day before Thanksgiving and on January 2, for which the speaker will be the NE/IA Kiwanis Governor Waldren, the cousin of our club treasurer Vern Waldren. We will NOT gather on December 26, the day after Christmas.

Drawing: Bruce Moulton removed the Jack of Diamonds, increasing the balance in the fund.

Happy Bucks: Ralph Peppard collected many happy bucks, getting close to making his “budget”.

Today’s Speaker: Jack Jackson introduced Joy Bartling, the director of “Scatter Joy Acres” who shared her life story with emotion and gave information about the 26 acre animal resort with more than 100 mostly rescued animals at 4966 Newport Ave. near Sorensen Parkway. These animals are trained as therapy animals and give comfort to many individuals and groups seeking comfort and guidance. Opportunities for donations and volunteers are available.
