Welcome to the Kiwanis Club of West Omaha
 
Founded in 1938 for Kiwanis Club of Greater Omaha and founded in 1961 for Kiwanis Club Westside which have merged together to form the Kiwanis Club of West Omaha. Each has a rich history of community service throughout the years. We are an eclectic mix of ages, genders, occupations, backgrounds and interests. We are all passionate about making our community and the world a better place for children so they can thrive. We are devoted to serving the children in our local community and also children all across the country and worldwide through unique and innovative service projects and fundraising initiatives. Members and invited guests meet each Monday at Noon for food, fellowship, and for the opportunity to hear from speakers about important matters in our region.

The meeting was opened with a prayer from Greg.  This was followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.
 
Attendance - 14 members.  
The 50/50 drawing was held and there was no winner.
 
Joann collected Happy Bucks.
 
Kip led a business discussion:
Dale reported on Sacred Heart.  The next reading is September 26.  The readers are Greg, Glen, Dale,
and Ralph.
Completely Kids is scheduled for September 24.  Rich, Dale , Joann, and Ralph are signed up.
Barb reported that she has ordered meals for the Ronald McDonald House.  She should get these
delivered by Wednesday.
The dues for the next Business Year is going slow.  Please send your dues or notice of leaving the 
 Club by September 30.
The Installation Dinner is September 30 at the Champions Country Club.  Participation appears
good this year.
The Board Meeting is set for September 29th at the TD2 Offices.
 
The guest speaker this week was Molly Woodman from Suicide Prevention in Action.
 
The next scheduled meeting is Monday, September 29 at Legends.  The scheduled speaker is Tamara
Dwyer - Homeless Services Coordinator from the Mayor's Office.
