The meeting was opened with a prayer from Dave. This was followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.
Attendance - 16 members. There were four guests:
Ralph's wife Connie and his friend Gordon Bailey from England.
Two members from the Omaha Kiwanis Downtown Club - Jason Gregg and Chris Tucker.
The 50/50 drawing was held and there was no winner.
Rod collected Happy Bucks.
Kip led a short business discussion:
Received a thank you card from the Assistance League for the recent donation.
Glen stated that he is to attend the District Convention this coming weekend.
Rod reminded everyone to always have the Club Business Cards and a short Club
talk ready. Consider inviting people to the weekly meetings.
Barb talked about her recent activity with the Backpack Program:
She has completed purchase of the backpacks and school supplies.
A total of 64 backpacks with supplies with 32 each going to Sacred Heart and
Completely Kids.
Barb also stated that she will purchase frozen meals for the Ronald McDonald House
Program.
The guest speaker this week was Tom Briese the Nebraska State Treasurer.
The next meeting is Monday, August 4 at Legends.
